I don't know about you but man, when my hope in something has been restored, it is like a weight is lifted off my shoulders. I walk taller, and have more energy, and I am a more patient wife & mama.
Hope. It works for me.
Please join me in prayer today for a very special intention.I do not think it is a coincidence that I will be seeing my obgyn this morning about the new possibilities he has researched in regards to our trying to conceive another child. See, today is the Feast of our Lady of Guadalupe. And this is historically known as the apparition when Mary appeared to Juan Diego while pregnant. So from this mama yearning to be pregnant, I am asking the prayers of the pregnant mama of Jesus.
I have always felt a special connection to Our Lady of Guadalupe and have prayed many prayers seeking her intercession for a miracle to help us conceive once again. (for you non-Catholics, click here to help answer your questions about praying with the saints in heaven.)
So, today, like I have asked for the Mother of our Lord to beg of her son a mercy and a miracle, I ask you my friends to pray with me that this new possibility come to fruition....in my womb, in the form of a child.
I am once again filled with hope. Won't you hope with me this Advent?
Here is a quote from the late Pope John Paul the Great:
" It is interesting that Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared at a moment in history when people were questioning the use of images, even many priests wanted to downplay them. For that reason devotion to Our Lady of Guadalupe had a slow start officially. But the faith of the people was not so reticent. They saw her as their mother, the one who would bring them the Savior, her very Son.
This morning we ourselves should not be so reticent. We have already lit the third candle of our Advent. Its rose color signifies "rejoicing." I know for many of you that is not an easy emotion at this moment. But St. Paul tells us today, "Rejoice always...give thanks in all circumstances." We have such a lovely motive for doing so. Before our eyes - the Blessed Virgin, the mother with child. She not only brings glad tidings; she bears within her womb the gladdest of all tidings."

I will be lifting you up in prayer also... I want this for you, too! so much...
Dear Lord, I come before You for my sister Stacey right now. I pray that You would encourage her and allow Your will to be done in her life. You know her desire for a child and I trust that it is a desire from You. Thank You for giving her hope today and watch over her as she goes to the doctor and give her doctor wisdom. Make the way clear and obvious and no matter what - continue to encourage, strengthen and give hope to Stacey.
Thank You - Amen
You will be in my thoughts and prayers!
I believe in miracles because I've seen them happen. Earlier this year, friends of mine who have had trouble conceiving (and who lost 8 babies via miscarriages) were given the amazing opportunity to adopt a baby by the birth mother. They have two wonderful boys 9 and 13, but always wanted more children. The baby is seven months old now, and a precious little girl! And to think that, a while back, my friend told me she'd given up hope of another child because she is over 50 now.
The second miracle is my little nephew, born 2 years ago. His parents tried to conceive for 15 years!
So, see, never give up hope. You keep on praying, Sweetie, and I'll send a prayer up to the Blessed Virgin, too. I have a feeling you'll be happily surprised in the coming year!
This post touched me deeply. I know all too well the path of secondary infertility.
My prayers are with you. May your hope bear fruit.
Hope truly is wonderful... Praying with you that you may be blessed with another miracle of life. Happy Feast Day!
Thanks for stopping by my blog. I'll keep praying for you!
I've only just stumbed upon your blog. I will pray for you... particularly to St. Gianna Beretta Molla, my favorite Saint. She will surely be with you during this time. May what is good for you and what glorifies God come to fruition!
You KNOW that you and your story are close to my heart, and you know why I am rooting for you, the doctor, and answered prayers. Please keep us updated!
Daring to wildly hope with you...throwing my arms out with abandon and HOPING in Him - for to do any less is to deny His power.
Oh, Stace...I am so excited to see what He has planned next...love you.
